Renal cell carcinoma (RCC), also known as renal cell cancer, is a type of kidney cancer that originates in the lining of the proximal convoluted tubule, a part of the small tubes within the kidney that filter waste from the blood and make urine. RCC is the most common type of kidney cancer in adults, accounting for approximately 90-95% of cases. The disease often has no early symptoms, but as it progresses, symptoms may include blood in the urine, lower back pain, and a mass or lump in the abdomen. Treatment options for RCC may include surgery, targeted therapy, immunotherapy, or radiation therapy, depending on the stage and severity of the cancer. Ongoing research continues to explore new treatments and promising approaches for managing RCC.

肾细胞癌肾细胞癌又称"肾腺癌"，简称"肾癌"。是泌尿系最常见的肿瘤，约占肾脏肿瘤的75％，男性多于女性，多见于50～60岁的老年人。肾细胞癌由肾小管上皮细胞发生，肿瘤一般为单个，圆形，切面呈黄色。临床上，早期肿瘤体积小，可无特殊症状，后期典型者为血尿、腰痛与腰部肿块三联症，但多数不全部同时出现，常以血尿为首，多为无痛性全程血尿，呈间歇性，此外可有发热，乏力，消瘦等全身症状。肾癌常可通过血管和淋巴管转移。除根治性肾切除外，其他疗效差、预后坏。
