二、作表语。

The story soundstrue. 这个故事听起来很真实。
He always keepssilentat the meeting. 他开会时总保持沉默。

三、作宾语补足语。
宾语补足语,一般放在宾语后面;能补充说明宾语的特征、状态或身份;可以由
形容词、名词、不定式、动词ing等来充当。初中比较常见的是形容词作make和keep的宾语补足语,如:make/keep sb./sth. + adj.
The internet makes our life more interesting.网络使我们的生活更有趣。

四、作状语。
有时,形容词也可以作状语,表示伴随状况、原因、结果等。
Afraid of trouble,he would not accept the duty.
由于怕麻烦,他不愿意接受任务。
The girl stared at the snake,full of fear.小女孩盯着蛇看,十分害怕。
He returned home,cold and hungry.他回到了家,饥寒交迫。
备注:ed结尾与ing结尾形容词的用法区别,如下所述。
Weare excited to hear the good news.我们听到这个好消息很兴奋。
The good news madeusexcited. 那个好消息使我们很激动。
Sheis interested in the story book.我对这本故事书感兴趣。
