Little Nutbrow Hare, who was going to bed, held on tight to Big Nutbrown Hare"s very long ears.
深棕色的小兔子要去睡觉了，它紧紧地抓住深棕色大兔子的长耳朵。
He wanted to be sure that Big Nutbrown Hare was listening. " Guess how much I love you." he said.
"Oh, I don"t think I could guess that." said big Nutbrown Hare.
他想确认深棕色大兔子在听他说话。“猜猜我有多爱你？”它问。
“哦，我不认为我能猜到。”深棕色大兔子回答。
"This much," said Little Nutbrown Hare, stretching out his arms as wide as they could go.
“这么多，”深棕色小兔子一边说，一般尽力伸出它的两只手臂，伸到他能够到的最够宽的程度。
Big Nutbrown Hare had even longer arms. " But I love you this much." he said.
Hmm, that is a lot, thought Little Nutbrown Hare.
棕色的大兔子有更长的手臂。“但是我爱你这么多。”他伸出手臂说道。
嗯，真是多，深棕色小兔子想到。
Then Little Nutbrown Hare had a good idea. He tumbled upside down and reached up the tree with his feet. "I love you all the way up to my toes!" he said.
然后，深棕色小兔子想到一个好主意。他倒立起来，用它的脚触碰到树干。“我爱你一路向上，直到我的脚趾到达的地方那么高！” 它说。
"And I love you all the way up to your toes." said Big Nutbrown Hare, swinging him up over his head.
“我爱你也一路向上，直到你的脚趾到达的地方。”深棕色的大兔子说着，高高地甩起小兔纸子、越过自己的头顶。
"I love you as high as I can hop!" laughed Little Nutbrown Hare, bouncing up and down.
“我爱你就像我能跳起来得这么高！”深棕色的小兔子大笑着说，一边跳上跳下。
"But I love you as high as I can hop." smiled Big Nutbrown Hare-and he hopped so high that his ears touched the branches above. That"s good hopping, thought Little Nutbrown Hare. I wish I could hop like that.
“但是我爱你就像我能跳地那样高。”深棕色的大兔子微笑着说着，他跳地太高了，以至于它的耳朵都触到了上面的树枝。跳得真高啊，深棕色的小兔子想，我要是能跳那样高就好了。
"I love you all the way down the lane as far as the rivers."cried Little Nutbrown Hare.
"I love you across the river and over the hills." said Big Nutbrown Hare.
“我爱你就像小路一直向下，到小河那里那样远。”深棕色的小兔大喊道。
“我爱你就像越过小河，再越过山丘那样远。”深棕色的大兔子说。
That"s very far, thought Little Nutbrown Hare. He was almost too sleepy to think anymore.
Then he looked beyond the thornbushes, out into the big dark night. Nothing could be farther than the sky.
那这是很远啊，深棕色的小兔子想。他太困了，几乎不能思考了。
然后他的目光越过多刺的灌木丛，望向外面广阔的黑暗的夜晚。没有什么能比天空更远了。
"I love you right up to the moon. " he said, and closed his eyes.
"Oh, that"s far." said Big Nutbrown Hare. "That"s very very far."
“我爱你正好想到月亮那么远”。深棕色的小兔子说完，闭上了眼睛。
“哦，真远啊。”深棕色的大兔子说。“那真是很远很远了。”
Then he lay down close by and whispered with a smile, "I love you right up to the moon and back."
然后，他放下小兔子，靠近它，微笑着轻轻地说：“我爱你远到就像到月亮那里，再返回。”
